The difference between a private network and the public internet can be compared to driving on your own private road versus a busy interstate. With public internet, your data is less secure and is competing with other traffic that can significantly slow you down. But with a dedicated connection—whether using Wavelengths or Ethernet—your data never passes through the public internet. Essentially, you get a higher level of performance and full control of your network’s speed and capacity.
