Pittsburgh City Council approves unified fiber network for municipal buildings

Last Wednesday, the Pittsburgh (PA) City Council voted for the city to partner with communications infrastructure company Crown Castle to build a unified fiber network for municipal buildings and services. Crown Castle will install fiber optic cables to serve 131 city facilities, including EMS operations, fire stations, recreation centers and city services.
