USDOT announces $60M in federal grants for AV programs

The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced that up to $60 million in grant funding is available for autonomous vehicle demonstration projects. The money will go toward multiple projects that test the safe integration of AVs onto U.S. streets and their transportation systems. The funding is for AV research and development, including identifying and addressing potential challenges to AV integration, with a focus on safety.
