Boys and Girls Club

Nationwide

In July 2024, more than 200 employees led 500 students from 26 Boys & Girls Clubs of America across the country through STEM activities for our second STEM Inspiration Day program. Club members learned about soundwaves by making string telephones, the strength of a triangle by building towers using popsicle sticks and how coded messages can be sent through light.

Many Clubs were severely impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. Crown Castle stepped in and offered financial support to the Clubs in Florida and Georgia to repair damaged facilities and replace technology tied to STEM learning.

In Seattle, Crown Castle provided a grant to the Boys and Girls Club of King County to provide technology support for the Youth Force College Career Readiness Program. The program aims to bridge the digital divide that prevents underserved youth/young adults from attaining post-secondary success. Youth create and complete a unique plan for reaching individual career preparedness goals. Throughout the year, they use devices, reliable internet and one-to-one instruction available through the Club to explore possible career paths; acquire essential digital literacy skills; and apply for jobs, apprenticeships and/or internships.
