Racine, Foxconn strike smart cities deal

Foxconn’s Wisconsin subsidiary has signed a memorandum of understanding with the city of Racine, WI outlining a partnership for the development of smart city technologies, including developing applications to improve public safety and security, buildings, mobility and transportation systems, energy systems and related carbon footprints, public utilities and infrastructure. Racine Mayor Cory Mason said partnering with Foxconn would give the city “a unique competitive advantage.”
