New York City makes new groundwork agreements for 5G services across all boroughs

The New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) said it has laid the groundwork for the equitable expansion of 5G mobile services across all five boroughs, with the approval of ten franchise agreements between Crown Castle Fiber, Crown Castle NG East, Crown Castle Solutions and more. "The franchisees will be able to install, operate, and maintain equipment and facilities, including base stations and access-point facilities, on City-owned street and traffic light poles as well as some privately owned utility poles," the article states.
