Local executives prod Bowser to speed up 5G regulations

Several tech executives in Washington, D.C., including Upside Business Travel founder Scott Case and Legends of Learning co-founder Sandy Roskes, are urging D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to "speed up the regulatory process laying the groundwork for next-generation wireless networks…" The executives sent a letter to the mayor asking her to "prioritize deployment of small cell stations across the city as part of a push toward 5G." During an October 15 meeting, "telecom companies such as Verizon, AT&T and Crown Castle, which helped circulate the letter, testified against various height and other restrictions."
