‘The table has been set’: Pa. lawmakers pass bill that could speed up 5G network deployment

Pennsylvania lawmakers passed legislation that standardizes the process for installing the infrastructure needed to deploy 5G networks. Gov. Tom Wolf signed the legislation into law on Wednesday, which will create a statewide standard so local governments, telecommunication providers like Verizon and AT&T, and the companies building the infrastructure know what to expect. The article stated, “For the companies tasked with building the infrastructure, the lack of statewide regulations make it difficult to plan for and complete the construction, said Tom Musgrove, the government affairs manager for Crowne Castle, a wireless communications infrastructure company based in Houston.”
