Tampa International Airport unveils 5G and enhanced 4G cell service ahead of Super Bowl LV
Using the country’s three major cellular carriers, Tampa International Airport will become the first airport in the United States to offer 5G. The airport’s 5G availability is the result of a two-year distributed antenna project involving the installation of about 800 antennas across the airport's property. The distributed antenna system began in 2018 was installed by Crown Castle.
