President of the American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts, Eric Folmar, PT, DPT wrote an article for the Wicked Local on telemedicine and expanding equitable healthcare. Dr. Folmar stated, “Telemedicine holds the promise of improving access, efficiency and continuity of care. To expand access to the benefits of telehealth, we must continue to support technological innovation that will ensure everyone has reliable and high-quality internet access. Statewide, nearly 14% of families do not have a wired broadband connection, meaning many rely on theirmobile devices to get online.”
