Navigating the wave of fiber funding: What happens next?

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is expected to pass soon and will funnel billions of dollars into "broadband capital expenditure funding, addressing affordability issues and even includes training in digital literacy." Funding will not be available until the FCC updates broadband maps and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) sets up a distribution program. Staci Pies, VP of public policy for Crown Castle, has urged the federal agencies to work together closely to minimize administrative burden and maximize efficiency.
