HACLA Partners with Human-I-T to Donate 530 Laptops to Low-Income Students in Los Angeles

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) has teamed up with human-I-T to provide 530 Chromebook laptop computers to its public housing residents. A donation from Crown Castle’s Connected by Good program funded 500 laptops, and the organization Visionary Women provided an additional 30. The article quoted Crown Castle Public Affairs Manager Mark Guillen, who said, "Access to connectivity is a necessity for students, teachers and families to close the homework gap. We’re proud that our Connected by Good program could help support Human-I-T and ultimately 500-plus Los Angeles-area students in public housing with laptops, which will allow them to connect to the internet and continue to learn remotely."
