Fiber Optics 101 for Chicago’s Youth
Crown Castle has partnered with Chicago's (IL) META24 workforce development program in the Community Youth Development Institute to help students "transform their circumstances" and earn their high school diploma via non-traditional means. The students are taught how to work with fiber optic cable, a growing industry as the 5G networks expand. Crown Castle Public Affairs Manager Renee Morales stated, “That’s job security for the future, because our whole lives are going to be revolutionized by 5G.”
