Affordable housing steps up to bridge digital divide with Community Classrooms

In an op-ed for the Democrat and Chronicle, authors Jolie A. Milstein, president and CEO of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and Roger W. Brandt, founder and president of Rochester’s Cornerstone Group discussed the role the affordable housing industry can play to bridge the digital divide by addressing the need for reliable, fast service. The article states, “It’s encouraging that these underserved communities are finding workarounds to bridge the digital divide but forcing students to do their schoolwork on a small handheld screen is not optimal. Wireless infrastructure, like that deployed by Crown Castle, is particularly critical for those families who rely on mobile devices.”
