Management Team
John P. Kelly was elected as a director of CCIC in May 2000 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of CCIC in August 2001. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CCIC. Mr. Kelly joined CCIC in July 1998, and was named President and COO of Crown Communication, Inc. in December of that year. From January 1990 to July 1998, Mr. Kelly was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlantic Cellular Company L.P. From December 1995 to July 1998, Mr. Kelly was also President and Chief Operating Officer of Hawaiian Wireless, Inc., an affiliate of Atlantic Cellular. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of PCIA, the Wireless Infrastructure Association.
W. Benjamin Moreland was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Crown Castle in April 2000. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Crown Castle and its domestic subsidiaries from October 1999. Mr. Moreland joins Crown Castle following 15 years with Chase Manhattan Bank, primarily in corporate finance and real estate investment banking. He is responsible for general corporate financing and compliance activities for Crown Castle.
E. Blake Hawk has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel since February 1999. Mr. Hawk was an attorney with Brown, Parker & Leahy, LLP in Houston, Texas from 1980 to 1999 and became a partner with the firm in 1986. Mr. Hawk has been licensed as an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant since 1976.
James D. Young was appointed President, U.S. Tower Operations in October 2005. He is responsible for the management of all operational groups including the four Areas, Property Management, Operations, Service Delivery, Performance Improvement, and National Site Development. Mr. Young has more than 21 years of experience in the telecom industry in which he most recently served as the Northeast Region Vice President of Network Operations for Sprint/Nextel. Prior to joining Sprint/Nextel, Mr. Young was employed at GTE in a variety of leadership positions across multiple disciplines. Mr. Young has a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, a BS in Systems Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Masters of Science in Management from Purdue University.
Patrick Slowey was appointed Senior Vice President Sales and Customer Relations in January 2005. Prior to his appointment, he served as Vice President of National Sales of Crown Castle USA. Mr. Slowey joined Crown Castle in 2000 as Vice President of Business Development, Crown Castle USA. Before joining CCI, Mr. Slowey worked with the wireless carriers Nextel and McCaw Communications (ATT Wireless), as well as Air Products and Chemicals, in various Sales and Operations Management positions.
Lisa Davidson was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources in July 2007. She is responsible for the overall management of Training & Organizational Design and Delivery, Staffing, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and Corporate Communications. Ms. Davidson has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resources where she most recently served as Director, Human Resources for Cingular Wireless (previously AT&T Wireless). Prior to working with the wireless carrier in various positions including Director of People Development, and Director of Staffing and Employee Relations, she held several Human Resources positions with Pepsi-Cola.
