Regulatory Affairs

NextG Networks, Inc., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE:CCI), operates regional wholly-owned subsidiaries throughout the United States. These locally regulated telecommunications companies design, permit, build, own, operate, and manage fiber-optic based networks to improve wireless coverage and capacity in municipalities, jurisdictions, colleges and universities throughout the United States.

FCC Regulation:

All of the equipment used by NextG is fully licensed by the FCC. NextG is not required to have a license for use of its customers' spectrum, which remains under the customers' control. NextG's customers are fully licensed by the FCC where licenses are required. NextG has blanket FCC certification under § 214 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 to operate telecommunications lines and facilities to provide fiber transport services and is in compliance with all registration and reporting requirements.
